Call transcripts: verify amounts and negation

Content updated:

Scope: Documentation reviewed on 9 October 2026. Examples are fictional and tests are proposed; CallsIQ has not performed product tests.

Short answer

A readable transcript can misstate an amount, date or negation. Check those fields against authorised audio, retain the segment and label ambiguity. Do not turn transcribed wording into a confirmed commercial commitment without checking evidence and agreement scope.

Key verification: Every critical field has reference audio, review status and a recorded correction or ambiguity before use.

Sources and limitations

“Do not renew” and “renew” can differ by very little while leading to opposite actions. Fluent punctuation does not establish accuracy. This guide reviews critical data before populating a CRM or commercial summary, using no actual customer conversations or measured speech-recognition results.

Select fields where confusion changes the task

Define amount and currency, date, service, condition and affirmative or negative decision. Retain surrounding context: a figure may be an example rather than an agreed price. Separate customer and agent statements. Mark unreconstructible audio unknown; repeated listening does not justify inventing a word.

In a fictional sample of ten verifiable critical fields, three discrepancies represent 30%. This measures selected-field errors, not WER or overall conversation accuracy. If two further fields are unverifiable, report those too and retain the original universe. Silently excluding difficult material misrepresents quality.

CallRail as an audio and text source

CallRail documents linked recordings and transcripts; this help page identifies English conversations and audio-quality dependence. Confirm applicable language, product and authorisation. Number availability does not establish support for every language. CallsIQ has neither executed this test nor assessed actual accuracy.

Close review without rewriting evidence

Keep original text and review separate with passage reference, reviewer and date. Correct operational data only after your process’s required acceptance; text correction does not establish contractual validity. For a few calls, targeted listening and a manual register may suffice. A tool helps when linking evidence to fields without hiding uncertainty or expanding recording access.

How to report a correction

Check current terms

Consider these options if they solve the problem described. Confirm features, limits and availability in your country.

CallRail for international clients: its phone-number documentation lists availability in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Australia. Spain is not on that list. Consider this option if you manage phone operations in those markets, and confirm numbers, destinations and terms with the provider. Availability checked on 2 October 2026.
