Keyword and actual search: what a call report can tell you

Content updated:

Scope: Documentation reviewed on 15 October 2026. Examples are fictional and tests are proposed; CallsIQ has not performed product tests.

Short answer

A bid keyword need not literally match the user’s search. Nor is it a word detected in conversation. Retain field name and data source. Where query data is unavailable, disclose that rather than reconstructing it from the keyword or agent recollection.

Key verification: Every value retains field and source, with no unknown query filled by inference.

Sources and limitations

A report shows “office maintenance” and the client asks whether that was the exact Google query. The answer depends on the column. This guide separates three texts appearing in one record through a fictional example without promising access to every individual search.

The examples are not an observed advertising match. Search wording and keyword can differ under matching rules. Transcripts come from another source and need audio verification; they cannot replace the search query.

Google and CallRail documentation

Google distinguishes the fields in its search terms report. CallRail explains requirements and missing-keyword causes. Check integration, PPC source and data availability before diagnosing failure. Neither organic-query coverage nor individual correspondence for every row is claimed.

Review one record

Retain identifier, date, channel and exact column label. Reconcile against an authorised source with compatible periods and protected client identifiers. Classify blanks as unavailable, pending integration or observed failure only where supported; a blank does not establish absence of advertising.

Report precisely

CallsIQ has not tested this CallRail integration. Where only the keyword is known, report the keyword. A field-and-limit worksheet may answer the client without buying another product that cannot guarantee missing data either.

Sources describe terms and capabilities stated by their owners. Proposed protocols and fictional examples do not establish product tests performed by CallsIQ.

How to report a correction

Check current terms

Consider these options if they solve the problem described. Confirm features, limits and availability in your country.

CallRail for international clients: its phone-number documentation lists availability in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Australia. Spain is not on that list. Consider this option if you manage phone operations in those markets, and confirm numbers, destinations and terms with the provider. Availability checked on 2 October 2026.
