Registered vs active affiliates: calculate activation

Content updated:

Scope: Documentation reviewed on 9 October 2026. Examples are fictional and tests are proposed; CallsIQ has not performed product tests.

Short answer

An affiliate list does not establish commercial activity. Define activation as a specific event, such as an eligible referral, and divide distinct affiliates achieving it by the joining cohort. Use a common window and separate clicks, referrals, paying customers and commissions.

Key verification: Each affiliate counts once per stage, cohorts share observation age and the active event is declared.

Sources and limitations

A programme recruits one hundred partners and the dashboard grows, yet few have placed a link or introduced a referral. Before expanding recruitment, distinguish joining, participation and outcomes. This guide builds a fictional funnel of affiliate people rather than clicks to identify what needs investigation.

Define cohort and activation event

Record joining date and a complete observation window per affiliate. This example uses thirty days from joining and activation by eligible referral. The window is an exercise choice, not the vendor’s cookie lifetime. Yesterday’s joiner has not had the same opportunity to activate as someone present for a month.

Under our rule, activation is 10 / 100 = 10%. Calling anyone with a click active produces 30%, but changes the definition. Fifty clicks from one person are not fifty active affiliates. One person can belong to several stages; do not add rows as separate participants.

Reditus and stage evidence

Reditus describes clicks, referrals, commissions and payouts. Check identifier and state exports for your rule rather than assuming a dashboard label matches it. CallsIQ has not measured this Reditus cohort. A worksheet can begin the review without fabricating clicks or affiliate registrations.

Respond to the missing stage

Where publication is missing, review material, instructions and audience fit. With clicks but no referrals, check eligibility and journey before blaming the partner. With referrals but no payments, allow commercial maturation. Document actions and compare equally aged cohorts: the funnel locates investigation rather than proving cause or promising future income.
