CRM service catalogue: units and line prices

Content updated:

Scope: Documentation reviewed on 13 October 2026. Examples are fictional and tests are proposed; CallsIQ has not performed product tests.

Short answer

A service catalogue should define included scope per unit and line arithmetic: quantity times unit price under stated terms. Hours, visits and packages differ. Retain agreed proposal pricing after catalogue changes; catalogue editing does not establish reissue.

Key verification: Each amount reconstructs from unit and quantity and matches issued-document scope.

Sources and limitations

A deal says “maintenance” but nobody knows whether the amount buys an hour or a visit. Automating a quote passes ambiguity to the customer. This guide proposes a small catalogue with verifiable lines without recommending prices or claiming a tested Pipedrive account.

Identity and unit before price

Assign stable code, scope description, unit and currency. Define exclusions rather than assuming travel, materials or extra tasks are included. Packages need their own scope; quantity one does not turn a package into an hour. Avoid summing different-currency lines without a conversion rule.

CRM service catalogue: units and line prices: table 1
Service and unitQuantityUnit priceAmount
Diagnosis per visit18080
Work per hour350150
Declared-scope total——230

The total is 80 + 3 × 50 = 230. Tax and undefined items are excluded; actual offers must clarify their treatment. If the visit already includes labour hours, the second line could duplicate scope: correct arithmetic does not fix a wrong commercial definition.

Documented Pipedrive products

Pipedrive documents a product catalogue with unit and price for deals. Check plan and effects on existing lines. Catalogue changes are not claimed to update previously sent PDFs or control contractual acceptance.

Price-change test

With a fictional deal, retain lines and document, then change a catalogue price and inspect what stays unchanged. Record observations rather than assuming propagation. CallsIQ has not run this test. A clear-unit worksheet may suffice for a few offers before purchasing automation.
