Select a compatible account
Start with a service that documents passkeys and an authorized test account. Identify device, browser and manager that will participate. Don't assume that a CRM supports access because the manager can store passkeys.
A passkey is not a new password that can be copied to an email. Usage, synchronization and recovery depend on the service and provider where it is stored. Define who controls that warehouse and how it is maintained when changing teams.

The FAQ warns about saving in NordPass the password and passkey of a Google account that you in turn use to authenticate in NordPass. Check dependencies to avoid a recovery loop that requires first entering the resource to which you have lost access.

Registration and use test
- Verify domain and account before starting registration.
- Create the passkey using the service circuit and the selected manager.
- Assign a reference that allows device or warehouse identification.
- Log out and try new access.
- Check from the service that the registered passkey appears where it corresponds.
- Rehearse supported recovery without deleting the last valid access.
Successful login on your regular computer does not prove that you can recover the account when that computer is lost. Check the alternative route before removing previous methods.
Device changes and maintenance
Check on the new computer that you have access to the warehouse and the service. Remove old credentials from the corresponding controls, preserving at least one accepted route. Document what happens to a passkey linked to a device that is no longer used.
