Agent training video: script and task assessment

Content updated:

Short answer

A training video should teach an observable task and end with a check of execution. Write the script and use fictional data when producing it in Synthesia; watching the full video does not establish that the agent can perform the task.

Key verification: Assess the task in a test environment and save the version and acceptance criteria.

Sources and limitations

A training video for agents must teach an observable task and verify that the person can repeat it. For a small agency, it is useful when the same procedure is explained to multiple recruits. This guide provides a recorded training script; The technical setup of the workstation and the supervision of live calls are different processes.

Choose a five-step task

Start with something limited: register a promised return after answering a query. Define the starting point, action and evidence of completion. “Getting to know CRM” is too broad for a short video with a clear evaluation.

Prepare a demo account and fictional data. Keep necessary button names visible, but remove actual phones and conversations. Explains what to do when data is missing without teaching how to invent it to overcome a required field.

Original script for a microlesson

Agent training video: script and task assessment: table 1
Scene Image or demonstration Proposed speech
Objective Fictitious record of a query "When finished, you will leave a return with the person responsible and the date."
Search Contact and operation reference "Confirm that this record corresponds to the query."
Create task Essential fields “Write down what is missing, who will call back and when.”
Check Task List "Check that the task appears only once."
Evaluation Fictitious new case "Now record this return without following the demonstration."

Do not assign a rigid duration. Cut out accessory steps and allow time to read each field. The voice must explain the decision, not limit itself to naming what is already seen.

Production with Synthesia

Synthesia features creating training videos with avatars and AI-generated voice on its Official source training page. It can be used to produce narration and update scenes without re-recording a person. Confirm the resources, minutes and modalities that your plan allows.

Use only materials you can publish and a voice or avatar allowed. Identify the presentation as generated when applicable; do not pass off an avatar as a real partner who validates the procedure. Keep the script outside the editor so you can edit it and maintain versions.

Evaluate the task, not the viewing

  1. A person reviews the video without additional instructions.
  2. You receive a test case different from the one shown.
  3. Create the task and explains when it should be finished.
  4. A reviewer checks identity, person responsible, date and absence of duplicates.
  5. Errors are converted into a specific correction in the video.

Completing playback does not demonstrate learning. Nor does a test with one person prove that the entire team masters the process. This evaluation is a proposed protocol; CallsIQ has not produced or rehearsed this video on Synthesia.

Versioning and publishing

Record version of the procedure, system shown, person responsible and review date. When a field changes, identify the affected scenes. Remove or replace the old version where the computer consults it.

For a single addition, a human demonstration may be sufficient. Consider Synthesia when you need to reuse and update lessons with a stable structure.
