How to write an explainer video script for a service

Content updated:

Scope: Documentation-based guide. The proposed resources and tests are editorial material, not results of product tests performed by CallsIQ.

Short answer

Define one prospect question and explain the problem, service, limits and next step. Separate speech from evidence shown on screen. Read the script with pauses and test comprehension; a proposed duration does not justify speeding up speech or removing important conditions.

Key verification: Ask a reader to explain who the service suits, what it includes and what to do after hearing the script.

Sources and limitations

A commercial explainer video should help people understand an offer. It need not list every company feature or replace a quotation. Start with one concrete question the prospect can answer after watching.

Define the audience and decision

Describe who you address and what they need to decide. A presentation for a shop seeking maintenance needs different information from a technician's work tutorial. Choose one service, one problem and one next action.

Prepare verifiable scope, conditions and available resources. Do not turn an unproven result into a promise because it fits a scene. Retain limits affecting the purchase.

Original scene template

Write an explainer video script for a service: table 1
SceneSpoken messageVisual content
SituationDescribe the audience problemRecognisable context
OfferExplain the received serviceSpecific scope
ProcessState how it startsActual steps
LimitsClarify a relevant conditionReadable condition

This is an editorial proposal rather than a mandatory Synthesia structure. Each scene should contribute something distinct. Splitting repeated copy into several scenes merely lengthens the video.

Fictional copy example

For a fictional business: “Need to organise maintenance for equipment at your premises? We review the scope and propose a schedule for installations we cover. First, we need equipment type and location. We do not provide urgent assistance outside the stated hours. Check whether we cover your case and we will prepare the next step.”

The example establishes neither an actual service nor a particular duration. Complete business-specific details before use. Visuals should not represent other businesses' work or customers as your own.

Adjust duration through reading, not a magic number

A sixty-to-ninety-second video can be a proposed practice constraint. Time the script with natural pauses. If it does not fit, remove repetitions or split its purpose; do not remove necessary exclusions or accelerate speech until understanding suffers.

Ask a reader what they understood and the next action. If they recall a promise you do not make, revise the wording. This qualitative check neither measures conversion nor predicts income.

Move the script into Synthesia

The Synthesia script guidance organises text by scene and permits pauses. Distribute approved copy into those units and check pronunciation, synchronisation and visible text.

Its creation documentation distinguishes importing a script from importing a file to generate new wording. If approved words must be retained, confirm the exact-text mode and plan requirements.

A person can record the same script with a conventional editor. Synthesia may fit scene-based production; we have not generated this example or measured effectiveness. Review the full video before publishing and retain the accepted script reference.
